Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in infusion therapy to join our healthcare team at our established nursing agency. This is a subcontractor position. No insurance benefits offered through employer. As an Infusion Nurse, you will play a crucial role in administering intravenous medications to patients in various healthcare settings, mostly in-home.

Duties:

- Administer intravenous medications and fluids to patients as prescribed by physicians in-home or alternate site care setting. 100% on the road.

- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during infusion therapy

- Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures and potential side effects

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of infusion treatments

- Scheduling and providing home infusions for the medications on our formulary (IVIG, SQ IG, etc.)

- Assess patient during initial visit for current medical and psychosocial needs

- Develop plan of care and treatment

Experience/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

- Associates Degree in Nursing required

- Strong organization skills and time management

- Prior experience in hospital medicine, critical care transport, or acute care settings

- Proficiency in patient care practices and understanding of nursing rules and regulations

- Knowledge and proficiency in IV starts and port access

- Minimum 2 years experience as Registered Nurse
